If you give rosemary free reign of your garden, it can actually grow to be over three feet in height!
When planting rosemary keep these points in mind:
It needs full sun,
Likes well-drained soil and does not like to be constantly wet,
Make sure the soil is dry to touch before watering it or else it will cause root rot,
Seedlings can take 14-21 days to grow but you can also grow rosemary from cuttings, and
The more you prune rosemary the bushier your plant will be, when harvesting take off 1/3 of the plant but give it enough time to grow back before you clip again.
Rosemary is a seasoning you can use in soups, casseroles, salads and stews as well as a number of meats! Rosemary can actually improve digestion and increase circulation. It's a perennial, meaning if you plant it once, it will keep coming back!
