Meet the Garden Geeks

Your go to gardener's

Home: Welcome

Who are we?

Ever since my sister and I were little gardening has been a part of our lives. Our grandparents had a massive garden in their backyard that we'd often find ourselves helping out in. We have countless, great memories of picking string beans with our grandfather and bringing them in to our grandmother as she would be cooking our Sunday dinners. As they got older it was harder for them to keep a garden and the tradition of picking our food fresh off the vine for dinner began to fade.

As we got older we decided we wanted our own garden to carry on those traditions. Those memories meant the world to us and one day we want to share that with our children and grandchildren. So we did it, we built a garden and we're now growing organic food for our family and ourselves.

A lot of people view gardening as a chore. But it's an opportunity to create traditions, practice mindfulness and create a sustainable lifestyle for yourself and loves ones. You don't need to be an expert to grow your own food, you just need to start.

Let's face it, gardening is trial and error... you could have a garden for 50 years and you'll still learn something new everyday. But the process is one you'll fall in love with.

The Garden Geeks community was built to get you started on your gardening journey and offer you support on the way!

Mindful Gardening

When gardening you allow yourself to reconnect with nature and be conscious of the moment. Practicing mindfulness in nature has huge benefits for our mental health and well-being.

Garden to table

If you grow your own food you're in full control of what fertilizers you use and ultimately what you put into your body. Food security gives you the power to access your own, affordable, nutritious foods.

Living sustainably

By planting a vegetable or herb garden you’re reducing your footprint by cutting the distance your food has to travel to get to your plate. For every pound of food you grow you eliminate two pounds of CO2.
