How to grow oregano!

Oregano is full of antioxidants and an excellent source of fiber, vitamin K and E, iron, and calcium! Not to mention a great addition to any type of tomato sauce or marinade.

Oregano is also a perennial herb and makes for great ground cover. How can you go wrong?

To grow oregano, keep these points in mind for healthy, happy plants:

  • Oregano needs full sun to thrive: meaning it needs 6-10 hours of direct sun daily,

  • it will do best in well-drained soil,

  • you can start oregano from seed or cuttings,

  • watered evenly,

  • plant oregano after the last spring frost, and lastly

  • harvest as needed!

Oregano leaves are the most flavorful if you pick them right before they blossom! Don't forget to subscribe so you don't miss our latest posts on plant care.
