Chamomile flowers make, you guessed it… Chamomile tea! This flower is loaded with antioxidants, can reduce inflammation, treat cold symptoms and help you to relax and sleep.
When planting, remember:
It will grow in full or partial sun,
The soil should be dry, this flower is drought tolerant and doesn’t need to be watered that frequently,
Make sure the soil is dry to touch before watering,
Seeds will sprout within 7-14 days, and
When harvesting, if you choose to do so, harvest when the flowers have fully opened.
You can choose to leave chamomile alone and let it bloom to attract ladybugs and bees or you can harvest the flowers to make your own homemade tea, a versatile plant is one of the best, and it also tends to deter mosquitoes!
